|35mm SLR Black and White Analogue Photography - 2015 Autumn Term|
These ten-week workshop courses provides an opportunity to learn about 35mm SLR photography and darkroom printing practices both at a theoretical and a practical level. Students acquire both practical skills, broaden their knowledge of the London Art Scene and gain an insight into the theoretical concerns of contemporary photography.
Both courses run throughout the academic year and students are encouraged to continue to the following term. Small groups, informal atmosphere, inclusive learning, Taught by Alison Day, an experienced teacher and practitioner. To take part students must provide their own 35mm SLR camera and purchase film and paper. All other materials and equipment are provided.

|One Day Courses for Adults/Young People|
|Darkroom photography and alternative printing techniques - Saturday 8th August 2015, 11am – 4pm|
|This is a course which aims to provide participants with a practical guide to creating fine art prints with and without a negative. The course is taught in the artist’s darkroom and studio and gives an opportunity to explore ways of getting the most out of your negative. For example we look at the process of solorization, of dodging and burning images to create contrast and depth. Participants can try out different photographic papers, become acquainted with liquid light, salt prints and the use of toner.|

|Pinhole / Photogram - Saturday 17th October 2015, 11am - 4pm|
|Intermediate Darkroom Printing Workshop - Saturday 7th November 2015, 11am - 4pm|
Participants are asked to bring some of their own negatives all other equipment and materials are provided. There will be a small extra cost for photographic paper used.
Daily Cost: £45 (£40 concessions) include materials (buy paper). No camera required for the Pinhole/Photogram workshop. Minimum age 16 years.
Run by a practicing photographer, this crash-course workshop provides an opportunity to learn about SLR photography on a theoretical and practical level. The course is aimed at beginners and people who would like to update their existing knowledge. Taught in the photographer's studio participants get an opportunity to take photographs, develop their films and learn how to print an image using wet darkroom techniques. All work is shot using 35mm film and analogue cameras. To take part you will need to bring a camera and a film with you.
