[column-group][column]Learning is at the heart of Lewisham Arthouse. Since 1992, our Learning programme has contained onsite and offsite elements. These include partnerships with local schools, colleges, housing associations, local festivals and work-placement schemes.Children, young people and adults are welcome to attend courses, workshops and events offered by our studio holders. These include classes in Ceramics, Printmaking and Music. The Life Drawing Class is amongst the most affordable in London. We offer tuition in, and open access to workshop facilities. These include specialist Darkroom, Ceramic and Rehearsal facilities.Artist-led talks and discussion events are a regular part of our Project Space programme, and we host occasional free creative workshops in addition to the courses listed below - see the News section for more information. Beginners and those with more experience are encouraged to use the space to be creative through a range of techniques including hand building and throwing. Printing without a press is an informal and friendly workshop style class adapted to suit individual students from beginners to experienced artists. The weekly outdoor sessions include creative masterclasses, and building structures and from imaginary dwellings to abstract sculpture.
