Land of a Memory at Lewisham Art House features four artists exploring memory through the child, family, body, and land. Spanning oil painting, textiles, and installation, the exhibition transforms cultural erosion and war into visual resilience. By intersecting Middle Eastern and Western perspectives, these works reclaim silenced voices and search for belonging. The exhibition treats memory as lived experience rather than a concluded narrative. From a nurtured plant being cut down to a snake skeleton unearthed in Bahrain, haunting imagery echoes themes of femininity and endurance. Viewers are invited to stay with the unresolved, finding reflection in these shared human struggles.
